Computer Viruses as Visual Art

Who would have ever thought that those pesky computer viruses, worms & Trojans could look beautiful if turned into virtual 3-D images?  Artists Alex Dragulescu and Julian Hodgson, were commissioned by MessageLabs to find out just what our enemy looks like.  After all, it’s said that 94% of IT professionals expect to suffer some sort of security breach.  To create the images, the artists gathered and analyzed data; then developed algorithms to map the data and create the images.  Click below to see one such image:
